WHY

SHARED STORY

As they say "everyone eats". And as such, we also all use some sort of tableware. And that tableware can chip, crack, and break with use. It's a common reality, yet each piece tells a very unique story. Where we bought the piece, or who gifted it to us, what we ate off of it, or with whom we shared a meal. These memories are what make tableware so special.

SHARED EXPERIENCE

Stepping away from our daily to-do's and focusing attention toward sharing these stories, develops greater empathy toward one another. Kintsugi is not an easy task. Repairing pieces with the care and attention kintsugi requires patience and perspective that our world of easier, cheaper, faster doesn't often allow.

SHARED PLANET

Learning about the 10-thousand year history of Japanese lacquerware, and the all-natural materials used in kintsugi-repair, develops an environment conducive toward reconsidering our own day-to-day activities or ideating creative solutions to future projects.

Kintsugi helps create more collaborative, attentive, and creative teams worldwide.
